Kistler Games

Publishing board games for players of different ages, cognitive abilities, and experience levels to play together.

A Different Approach to Playing Together

Most games ask everyone at the table to work within roughly the same decision space.

Kistler Games feature shared central systems with asymmetric personal decision spaces, offering players different roles, levels of complexity and social engagement, or kinds of decisions.

Our games are not made to create an identical experience for every player. They create an equitable experience where diverse players can participate meaningfully.

Kistler Games was founded for the social situations where many would say: “This just isn’t a good group for playing games together.”

Experience Behind the Games

Kistler Games was founded in 2026 by Dylan Kistler, a board game designer developer, and producer. Dylan has also worked as a games and education researcher, as a district specialist designing interventions and coaching teachers, and as a practicing Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Dylan combines professional experience working for publishers like Leder Games and Stone Blade Entertainment with a background in intervention design, research, and direct care for people who have Autism, emotional disability, and intellectual disability.

His game credits include development, design, and production assistance for titles including Battle for Dream Island: the Card Game, Arcs, and Arcs: The Blighted Reach, The Lord of the Rings: Ascension, and the 2026 GEE People’s Choice winner Peacemaker Quest.

"Of all animal species, humans are the biggest players of all. We are built to play and built through play."

“When playing a game, the goal is to win, but it is the goal that is important, not the winning.”
